Pasco County Treatment Court |
Pasco Court Officials estimate that Treatment Court has saved taxpayers about $1.5 million dollars a year. Those numbers are saved by keeping drug offenders out of the Pasco County Jail. Those defendants charged with first-time, non-violent, third-degree felony charges can be admitted to the Drug Court at the sole discretion of the State Attorney. Upon entering the Drug Court as a condition of probation, post-plea drug court, successful completion can avoid a Felony conviction, result in adjudication being withheld and/or a reduced length of probation. All participants must make frequent court appearances known as judicial reviews. These occur in front of the drug court judge every 30 to 45 days.
